If you are a big fan of playing games on Gameboy Advance but you don’t always have your handheld console with you, or if you used to love playing on GBA but don’t have one anymore, then VisualBoy Advance could be a good option for you. This program is an emulator that lets you play games from your old Gameboy device on your computer. Like all emulators, VisualBoy Advance enables your PC to run games that it normally wouldn’t be able to – in this case, Gameboy games.
Remember how we used to have to connect our Gameboy to another Gameboy in order to play our friends as real live opponents? Or how we used to spend hours playing games like Tetris, The Sims, Texas Hold’em Poker, Super Mario Bros, and tons of other classics. Well, VisualBoy gives you the chance to relive those moments and play the same games.
All you have to do is search online for the Gameboy game you want to play and download it in ROM format, which is the file extension used by the VisualBoy Advance emulator. Note that this particular download is a beta release and as such you might have to face a bug or two in exchange for getting an early look at new features.
